ERN 2025 in Greece: Athens (NOA)

NOA will organize the PICO ERN25 event at its premisies at Thissio in the centre of Athens from 16.00 to 23.00. Researchers from all 3 Institutes will present scientific results (satellite observations, ionosphere, climate change imapcts, tsunami and others), educational programs for kids and students, interactive games, painting and hands on experiments. The event will also include guided tours to the museum of Geoastrophysics of NOA, and solar and sky observations from telescopes. Prof. N. Mihalopoulos will speak about the air we breath and human health.

The visitor’s center of NOA at Penteli (north Athens) will host the reserachers Night 2025 event from 16.00 to 23.00 with activities for kids (moon stories theter), educational programs, scientific talk by NOA female researcher on AI and satellites, guide tour to the historical Newall telescope and sky observations from telescopes of amateur astronomers.

NOA will organize the event at the Stefani Observatory of the city of Corinth In collaboration with the Municipaity of the city. Activities will include sky and solar observations, kid’s astrolab, reserach results for exoplanets, astrophotography/uranography and a scientific talk on the project NELIOTA, aiming to determine the distribution and frequency of small near-earth objects (NEOs) by monitoring lunar impact flashes.
