Camilla De Rossi
Camilla De Rossi is a Technologist at the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO), where she works on the Advanced Virgo detector, focusing on the Injection and Pre-stabilized Laser (INJ & PSL) systems. She plays a key role in commissioning, optical design, and maintenance of laser systems. Camilla also contributes to the Auxiliary Laser System and Interferometer Sensing and Control, supporting both hardware and simulation efforts. Her research has extended to conceptual designs for the Einstein Telescope, including optical layout and control strategies. She holds a PhD in Physics from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, where she studied Bose-Einstein condensates in ring traps. Camilla has experience in laser optics, feedback systems, and cold atom experiments. She is also the appointed Laser Safety Officer at EGO. She actively participates in outreach and training activities and has co-authored over 100 scientific papers and technical notes.
